Tell us about yourself?
I have recently taken early retirement after being in the glazing industry for many years. I live in the beautiful county of Wiltshire in England and am happily married with two dogs.
What interested/attracted you to buy your first metal detector?
Finding history and the story it can tell has always fascinated me as we have so much history it seemed the perfect choice.
When did you use your Coiltek coil first & how did you find this experience?
I first used a Coiltek coil many years ago with my Minelab E Trac it proved very stable and got me the extra depth I was after.
How has metal detecting benefitted your lifestyle?
Through metal detecting I have made many friends and enjoy sharing my finds YouTube and Facebook.
What advice would you give to someone wanting to start metal detecting?
Just get a machine and enjoy the fresh air, exercise and finding history.
What has been your most significant experience or find to date?
I have recently found a Saxon gold hoard which is going through the treasure process now.
Who or what inspired you to start detecting?
A gamekeeper friend lent me his detector and that was it I was hooked.
